We found ourselves below a strong thermal layer. There were multiple contacts to our southwest. We identified them to be Kiev, Kirov, Udaloy, 2 Krivak Is, a Kresta II, and a Kara. There are multiple ASW helos up, but they are to the north of the enemy fleet. Distance was estimated to be 30 km.
We started our first torpedo salvo to the northwest, but due to distance we only caught a Krivak I. The rest of torpedoes ran out of power, and the fleet scattered, with the Kirov, and 2 escorts turning back.
Our second salvo of 3 torpedoes sank the other Krivak and the Kara, and MAY have damaged the Kirov.
The Udaloy and the Kresta II turned back. Kiev kept running. Kirov was steaming away, then suddenly, kaboom! the Kirov sank. I guess one of my torpedoes caught her again.
We waited for the Udaloy and Kresta II to get within 20 km, then another salvo sank them both.
We tried chasing after Kiev, but we have almost no speed advantage over her, and she has SAMs to guard against our antiship missiles. We gave up the pursuit, having sank all the visible ships around her.
