Daba, the first single from Oum’s eponymous album, means "Now" in Moroccan. Recorded in Berlin this third album mixes traditional, Arab and Saharawi elements with more contemporary influences from soul, jazz and electro trance. With Daba, Oum describes a kind of state of emergency where the increasing speed of exchanges in the world makes it more urgent to slow down and live in the present moment.
