VENTRICLE OF BRAIN :
Ventricle of brain are interconnected hollow space or cavities distributed in the Brain.
Ventricles of brain are filled with cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) that protect the brain
NUMBER OF VENTRICLES OF BRAIN :
There four (4) ventricles of brain.
1 : RIGHT LATERAL VENTRICLE.
It is present in right cerebral hemisphere.
2 : LEFT LATERAL VENTRICLE.
It is present in left cerebral hemisphere.
3 : THIRD (3rd) VENTRICLE :
It is present between thalamus or present in diencephalon.
4 : FOURTH (4th) VENTRICLE :
It is Present in pons , medulla and cerebellum (Hind Brain).
Right and Left Lateral ventricles are connected with third ventricle through foramen of monru.
Third ventricle is connected to Fourth ventricle through cerebral aqueduct.
FUNCTION :
1. Ventricles produce and secret cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).
2 : Ventricles protect the brain
