Solo Hiking a Presidential Traverse in the White Mountains: Did not go as planned
This is my first attempt of a solo single day Presidential Traverse in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I summited Madison and Adams and then decided to follow the Appalachian Trail the rest of the way. I started at the Valley Way Trailhead and ended at Crawford Notch. I am currently working on the NH48 with my son however, I told him anything that I summited on this day would not count toward my 48 list. 😉

I highly recommend the books by Ty Gagne (not affiliated, just really good books): "The Last Traverse" and also "Where You'll Find Me". Both books detail search and rescues that occurred in the Presidentials and on Franconia Ridge.
