After Thoughts about the Video: You have to do this. This wakens up these old tools and they're better than ever. This took around 2 hours and a lot of fine tuning to make it fit but was worth it. This was a 7.2v model which while running with nicad would be a voltage range of 9 to 6 volts/7.2v nominal. The 12 volt lithium has a range of 12 to 9 volts /10.8 volts nominal. So about 50% more. No load RPM on the side of the tool says 600. I just tested no load RPM with an lithium upgrade and I'm getting roughly 900 rpm.
5 days later. still working. awesome. I drilled an inch and a half hole with a spade bit no problem. This drill really has been woken up and works comparable to a modern drill.
