One of the most effective tools I've been using with students at-a-distance is narrated presentations. For me, creating narrated Google Slides for my students seems to have been the most effective way to provide direct instruction.

1) You’ll need to capture your voice - I use Audacity (it's free!)
2) Uploading mp3 audio files to Google Drive - easy as dragging files into Chrome app
3) Inserting the audio files is quick and easy in Google Slides
