TATA, which means "father" in the Bafia language of Cameroon, is an acoustic and introspective masterpiece. What sets Just Wôan apart is his extraordinary voice—a vocal range that effortlessly glides between soaring highs and deep lows. His guitar playing is just as unique, featuring a rare technique known as tapping-guitar, which adds a rhythmic and percussive dimension to his sound.
A Journey of Passion and Boldness
A self-taught multi-instrumentalist from Cameroon, Just Wôan has always stood out for his distinctive style, blending jazz, soul, and the traditional rhythms of Central Africa. One of his most defining characteristics is his dedication to singing in Bafia, a rare and endangered language, which he brings to life through his music.
His musical journey took him to Quebec in 2012, when he was invited to perform at the Francofolies de Montréal with his debut album Des Reines. Since then, he has made Montreal his home, continuously evolving, shaping his artistic identity, and pushing the boundaries of his sound.

Just Wôan’s exceptional talent has earned him widespread recognition. In 2016, Le Devoir wrote:
"In all categories combined, Just is one of the greatest singers in Quebec."
