A quick beginner's introduction to the great 2D drawing and animation tools in Blender 2.8 and above. This tutorial will lead you through your first drawing using Blender's Grease Pencil and outline some of the Blender basics to get you started with this amazing software.

Some Handy Shortcuts for Blender
Transform things:
G - Grab (move)
R - Rotate
S - Scale
Press X, Y, or Z after this to constrain movement to one axis
Follow this with a number for precise transformations (eg. G,X,2 moves your selection 2 units along the x-axis)
Hold Shift to move in small increments
Hold Control to move in grid units
Control View:
Mouse scroll - Zoom view
MMB - Rotate view
Shift + MMB - Pan view
Numpad 0 - Toggle between camera view and previous view
`~ - View Menu
Select in Edit mode
A - Select all
B - Drag a selection box
C - Paint selection
L - Select the rest of your selected shape
TAB - Toggle between edit and object mode
Note:
Blender is constantly under development, which means that it's getting better with each new release. Blender 2.9 already has some great improvements so stay up to date with the latest version if you can.
