2. Use the WordPress Detection Tool Online
Use a WordPress detecting website like IsItWP. It's a useful internet tool that was created for just this reason. Simply enter the URL of the website you want to evaluate, and IsItWP will analyze it and reveal CMS information, including whether it was built using WordPress or not. It is a convenient and user-friendly option.
3. Look for "wordpress" or "wp-" in the page source.
If you're familiar with navigating a website's code, look for references to "WordPress" or "wp-" in the page source. To do this, right-click on the webpage and select "View page source" (or something similar depending on your browser), then search for these words. They can be found in CSS classes, JavaScript scripts, or HTML comments, indicating that they are used by WordPress.
4. Check the file path by right-clicking an image
The “wp-content” folder is where WordPress saves uploaded photos and media assets. To find out if a website was built with WordPress, right-click an image on the page and select "Open image in a new tab." Check the URL of the image to see if it contains "/wp-content/". If it does, it's a good thing the site is powered by WordPress.
