In this Guitar Maintenance series on how to fix sharp fret ends, I'll take you through the process I use, when I'm dealing with a guitar that has sharp fret ends. Sharp fret ends will most likely occur because the fretboard material around the frets have shrunk. This leaves the fret tang and fret corners sticking out, risking to cut or hurt your playing hand. A neck with sharp protruding fret ends are no joy to play on - they have to be taken care of.
