Today we are driving the refreshed Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Reserve. This more high end model starts at about $51,000 and is $56,000 as tested. For 2026, the Grand Cherokee has a brand new engine that is part of the hurricane family. It is a turbocharged 2.0L 4 cylinder with 324 horsepower and 332 pound feet of torque. It is mated to an 8 speed automatic transmission and gets about 22 MPG combined. The 3.6L Pentastar V6 is still offered on the two cheapest trim levels. This engine is pretty smooth and very powerful, but not quite as refined as the V6. Ride quality is pretty good, but the Summit model offers an air suspension, which gives it even better ride quality. There is some wind noise entering the cabin, but it is pretty normal for the segment. Overall, the Grand Cherokee remains an excellent SUV, and the revisions that were made to the design keep it fresh. Would you buy this over the Honda Passport or Toyota 4Runner?
