In this episode I look at how I make decisions on location to try and get the best looking shots.
This is a skill that is learned with time and experience, but there are a few things you can do to help tune your brain into the different things you can quickly influence to improve the lighting in a space.
Obviously here I was working with a very minimal setup, but this is a good way to train yourself. Adding more complexity with lights/flags/frames etc. can make the obvious choices harder to see....
Take all of that away and suddenly things get a lot clearer, and hopefully mean you can approach bigger shoots with the same efficient thought process!
