Re-Upload of the Curiosity Rover Mars landing!
Originally posted on this channel 8 years ago after Curiosity Landed on Mars in August 2012!
Follow along with the 3D live view of Curiosity's descent which I screen-captured live on the day. I was also following the JPL live stream from the command centre, which Ive synced to the 3D live view. New to this re-upload is also the heat shield footage, which wasnt even released at the time I first made this video.
I wanted to remaster this to celebrate the huge technological achievement and success that was/is Curiosity for humanity - plus its fitting after the launch of Perseverance Rover last week (July 2020). This is something like what we should expect to see in February 2021 when Perseverance makes its own approach and landing.
Ive also added better audio and music I actually can legally use! The original upload was blocked on my channel years ago (as I used music from Ironman back in the days before Youtube cared about music) :S
