Nick Dong is a conceptual artist and engineer who combines metalworking, modern technology, and multimedia installations. His artworks use science and precision components to present supernatural visual effects and interactivity.
Dong identifies as a 21st-century Wenren, in the Chinese lineage of scholar-artists, and his work is influenced by Buddhist philosophy. He holds a degree from Tunghai University of Taiwan and an MFA in Metalworking and Jewelry Design from the University of Oregon. He currently lives in Oakland.
