Listen
Seein' you got ritualistic
Plans in my soul of addiction for now
'Cause I'm fallin' apart, yeah
Tension
Between us just like picket fences
You got issues that I won't mention for now
'Cause we're fallin' apart
Passionate from miles away
Passive with the things you say
Passin' up on my old ways
I can't blame you no, no
Passionate from miles away
Passive with the things you say
Passin' up on my old ways
I can't blame you no, no
Listen
Hard at buildin' trust from a distance
I think we should rule out commitment for now
'Cause we're fallin' apart
Leavin'
You're just doin' that to get even
Don't pick up the pieces, just leave it for now
They keep fallin' apart
Passionate from miles away
Passive with the things you say
Passin' up on my old ways
I can't blame you no, no
Passionate from miles away
Passive with the things you say
Passin' up on my old ways
I can't blame you no, no
Trying to think of the right thing to say

Our live setup runs through 2 MOTU (8A & 624) interfaces and is controlled and mixed in Ableton Live 9. Ben's station is the main brain - a top of the range MacBook Pro running Ableton through a MOTU 8A with a super low round trip latency of 3.47ms. This allows for real time mixing of the inputs and near instant custom monitoring for each band member.
In this song Ben is running a Roland TD-15 drumkit into a SP555 for onboard fx and sampling (shakers) and then into Ableton. He also has a Roland SPDS-X for melodic drum sounds (in this case a marimba sample we created for the song), a Roland HPD-20 which is an electronic hand-drum and a 2Box Drumit 5 for sampled drum sounds. All of these input on separate channels in Ableton and Ben controls the whole band and the sequenced elements of the track (which we aren't playing live) with an Akai APC40 and a Novation Launchkontrol.
Jules is singing through the Slatedigital VMS microphone.
On Matt's keyboard rack we 2 x Novation LaunchKey 61 controller keyboards running into Ableton Live with a whole bunch of different soft synths we have chosen specifically for this song, a Nord Electro inputs in to Matt's MOTU 624 along with his Microphone (used here to sample the drumstick). This is all outputted via AVB to Ben's MOTU 8A as separate channels in Ableton. Matt's Saxophone is on a Sennheiser D1 digital micpack with a Sennheiser e908 mic. The whole band is monitoring on Sennheiser e300 in ear packs.
