IBM Spectrum Protect includes many features which facilitate high availability and disaster recovery.
This session focuses on the techniques for safeguarding the Spectrum Protect server from local failures (failure of the Spectrum Protect server or failure of the Spectrum Protect database) and from large scale failures (failure of the Spectrum Protect production site). Specifically, we will examine using Spectrum Protect with replication and clustering techniques. Also, we will discuss methods to move critical data from a primary (production) data center to a vaulting facility, secondary (disaster recovery) data center or to the cloud including Spectrum Protect Node Replication, DB2 HADR and hardware replication techniques.
Dave Daun from the Solutions Response Team, is the presenter on this video.
