This 16mm film footage comes from the collection E. Elwood Lynch at the Nabb Research Center (2019.010). It features color footage from the circa 1960s demonstrating mosquito control methods in coastal Delaware, as well as some shots of manual ditch digging. While some of the footage shows active mosquitos and their eggs, the majority of the film focuses on the application of the insecticide DDT, both by airplane and trucks carrying tanks with spray cannons. Near the end, employees of the State of Delaware showed the preparation of the insecticide.
