In this video I talk about one of the 99 ways to improve pitching velocity and it is how to leverage your linear energy when pitching. If you can understand and implement this concept, then you'll be able to transfer more energy up your body and through the baseball, which means you'll pitch faster.

So, how do we work on leveraging our linear energy to get more pitching velocity? Well, it has a lot to do with strength and mobility, so that's the first place to start. As a pitcher we need to train to have strong legs, but we also must maintain our mobility. Once we have achieved optimal levels of strength and mobility, we must then try to work on our movement patterns and teach our body what it feels like to pitch against that front leg. One of the ways we can do this is by throwing up the back of the mound.
