Hi everyone. Not one, but two Model S cars with a similar problem. There's no way to get them working. One of them is considered a total loss by the manufacturer (salvage title); the other is impossible to unlock without the PIN, and unlocking it requires a process that can't be completed without unlocking the car with the PIN.
