How to face online Interview?
Job interviews over the internet are a whole other beast from a regular in person interview. My friend got her last position through a full interview that took place solely over Skype because she was in another state. This could’ve gone wrong quickly, but she took the time to do additional prep to make sure it was as much like an in person interview as possible. Screens can be a barrier so I want to give you ALL the tips to stand out on an interview that takes place solely over video.
You are treating this like a regular interview PLUS these additional steps.
Be at home or quiet place.
Laptop or desktop only.
It’s all about the prep.
In order to not have any of those distractions or irritations you have to do extra preparation, including the following:
Angle and background
Lighting
Test with a friend to check sound
You’re extra preparation will show how much you want the job, and speaks to what you’d be like on the job!
