Policy-based Framework is a system for managing one or more instances of SQL Server 2008. Policies can be created that manage entities on the server, such as the instance of SQL Server, databases, and other SQL Server objects. Policies can be automated to 'enforce', 'check on changes' or 'check on schedule'.
