TEDxKibera Aug 13 2011 - Sara Mitaru - "The Future" by Ty Bello
TEDxKibera took place on Aug 13 2011 at Mchanganyiko Hall in Karanja, Kibera. (Nairobi, Kenya). The theme was "Empowerment through Art" - fine art and visual art. Sara Mitaru was one of the speakers. Unfortunately I missed her introduction, and the end of her speech. At the end of her speech (after the video cuts out, here) she said that she hopes that the young women that she mentors will take on their own mentees (pay it forward). Her focus for this year is captured in the line from "The Future" - "we are the future, we are part of this."
