How to Force Restart iPhone X & 8, DFU Mode & more!

What is all this junk?
Force Reboot: forcing the device to restart in order to correct glitches or if device gets stuck. Basically the same thing as unplugging the power.
DFU Mode: "Device Firmware Upgrade" mode. Manually prepping the device for iTunes update/restore. Used to bypass passcode/apple ID verification on restore (does not bypass iCloud Lock!), and was used in past jailbreaks. Also great for freaking people out.
Recovery Mode: A boot loader used as a last resort when your phone has taken a dump. Initiates iTunes connection regardless of anything software-related (errors, freezes, glitches, etc.). Also, even better for freaking people out.
Normal Mode: when device is fully functioning. Use method for force reboot to exit DFU or Recovery mode.
NOTE: if device refuses to exit recovery/DFU mode, your device is probably dead. Can happen when installing crappy Cydia tweaks, when hardware is broken, or when the firmware is compromised (in this case, restore in iTunes).
