Chapter 7: The Doom of Dol Guldur
Grimbeorn, my son - I fear this might be my last letter to you. When we captured the dark fortress of Dol Guldur - we slew all the orc occupants and buried their breeding pits, the dark sorcerers were banished and any remnants of their army withdrew into Mirkwood.
We thought that would be the last of them, but now a large host of orcs, goblins and even trolls appears at the edge of the forest - preparing to strike at Amon Lanc. Our scouts report that more enemy reinforcements are on their way... but not from the forest... instead they hail from the regions to our South, the burnt lands near Mordor. These warriors march under the banner of a great eye... I've sent for a messenger to find Radagast and ask for his advice... but I fear you will have to be the one to receive it.
My son, you have proven yourself a strong warrior and capable leader. I will defend the Naked Hill with all my might, but I shall do so in the knowledge that even if I were to fall - our realm shall prosper under your rule. All hail the Anduin, all hail the great bear!
