Mack LE - Wittke SuperLight Garbage Truck
Another one from deep in the vaults, here we have a Wittke SuperLight front loader paired up with a Mack LE chassis! This particular unit was paired up with a carry can and cart tipper, seen here handling some residential recycling on a stormy afternoon. These trucks were once a common sight in WM's California fleet and were already getting harder to come by nearly 8 years ago when this was filmed. I would have to imagine by now that these are all but non-existent, so I'm glad I got the opportunity to catch one in person before it was too late! I've always had a particular fondness for this particular spec - the clean lines of the Wittke SuperLight body pair up nicely with the simplicity of the Mack LE cab, the curbside body mounted exhaust has always been a favorite of mine, and paired up with a quick carry can really makes this a fun watch in my opinion!
