Technically my new hardest but I'm still leaning towards counting that towards rated levels. But anyways, onto the level.
I wanted to beat this level because I wanted a break from practicing Artificial Ascent and play something that didn't seem monotonous. This level is just amazing in all the right ways, even if it's just a layout, it still manages to make itself stand out from any other "gameplay focused layout". The gameplay is fantastic and feels amazing to play, even after OBS fucked up my original recording and I had to rebeat it (in 19 attempts), it didn't make my level experience any worse. The level feels so fluid and there aren’t any parts that feel inconsistent or buggy, which makes this level all the better. All in all, a phenomenal level.
But that's all about GD itself, the real reason I chose this level (and set the video to schedule on July 20th) is because I had finished Subahibi, the visual novel that this level is based off of back in May and it pretty much became my favorite piece of media I've experienced, I could go on about it, but having read the VN just increased how much I love this already amazing level. I DEFINITELY recommend it if you're alright with darker topics, because below that surface is one of the greatest pieces of storytelling I've had the pleasure of experiencing. Thank you Gaiden for making such a great level and making it public so I could play it.
Attempts: 1,364 (1,345 from original completion, 19 from rebeat)
Enjoyment: 11/10
