Meet Bowen: A boy who grew up in an elaborate mansion and was raised up by a purposely delusional mother and a physically abusive father. In his teenage years, Bowen uncovers a dark truth about his family that shifts everything. Rose (his delusional mother) is not really his mother at all. Wayne (his father) had kidnapped him as a toddler and constructed his own personal family, complete with Rose’s inherited mansion and his charismatic wit to cover up the real history. Once the truth is revealed, Rose and Wayne are thrown out of his life by authorities, and Bowen moves in with his real biological family, in his real biological house. Leanne (his mother) and Fay (his little sister) are great to him, but are overall ignorant in the aspect that Bowen might still miss his parents, despite the dysfunctionality and hardships of it all. With the help of his family and friends however, Bowen starts to understand what love really means, and slowly and gradually he learns how to adapt to this new life.
