DIVERTER SWITCH AND SELECTOR SWITCH OF OLTC1
On Load Tap Changer or OLTC is widely used in interconnected power system in order to change tap position dynamically without interrupting the load. #OLTC have important part they are selector switch which is submerged in main tank oil. Another switch is diverter switch which is in a separate tank named diverter tank. During changing of tap by selector switch diverter switch divert load current through one parallel path. In this video basic operation of OLTC is explained.
