Silverdale Transit Center Groundbreaking
On May 19, Kitsap Transit held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of construction on a new transit center off Ridgetop Boulevard in Silverdale. Gov. Jay Inslee and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Administrator Nuria Fernandez joined Kitsap Transit board members to highlight the transit center, which will be the first in Western Washington to feature underground inductive charging technology for electric buses.
