Weathered • Award-Winning Western Short Film (2019 Albuquerque 48 Hour Film Project)
Los Metates Studios is proud to present our award-winning new short film Weathered!
Winner of five awards at the 2019 Albuquerque 48 Hour Film Project, Weathered tells the story of Cora and Eliza Dogwood, two sisters who take shelter with a prickly old woman and her family in the harsh environment of the old West. But when outlaws come for their land, these frontierswomen must choose whether to defend their land or flee; but whatever they choose, they'll do it together.
Directed by Matthew Evans and written by Seriah Getty, the film stars Millie Rayford, Seriah Getty, Cathy Heckendorn, Sarah Heckendorn, and Morgan Young, and also features Daniel Kuehn, Jonathan Chew, and Joshua Heckendorn.
This film was originally created in only 48 hours for the 2019 Albuquerque 48 Hour Film Project. This is an extended cut that restores the full-length of the film over the shortened competition version.
