Making Mirrors with Diamonds
Diamond tools have such a sharp edge, they can create mirror finishes in metals like copper and aluminum.
To do that, we "scribe" the metal with very shallow cuts, ranging from 2-10 microns deep.
These parts are then coated with 200nm of aluminum and will be used in a quantum device called a Magneto Optical Trap
