Filmmaker Victoria Romanova loved frailtynine's debut album 'unsettlement' and decided to make a video clip for one of the key tracks from the album.
The Hiss is a composition about the feeling of anxiety and how it slowly fills you. At some point, you and The Hiss are inseparable. But there's still the light in the end.
Here's what Victoria says about her video:
'I like to watch how artists or bands establish contact with their audience, how their art, created with all the heart, causes emotional response in listeners. I really liked how Pavel described his work, his emotions and desires that he wanted to show on his album. I love his openness and sincerity. I loved frailtynine's album and especially The Hiss, I don't know why, maybe because of its poignance. I wanted to visualise it.
I'm not a professional clip maker, it's just a newly-discovered hobby, even though I studied filmography for a while and directed something a while ago. Pasha is very friendly in his communications, and I decided to offer this collaboration out of the blue. I'm very happy that everything clicked, it feels empowering and inspires to continue my hobby'.
