Welcome to my Dead Space (2008) Optimization Guide!
TLDR if you don't have 6 minutes to spare.
On Steam, right click the game in your library, the select "properties". Under general - Launch Options, put this exact command in the field.
C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe /c start "" /affinity FFFF %command%
This will make the game launch with only 4 physical cores enabled, as any processor with more than 10 cores will not run the game. This enables you to get around that.
Other tips. Turn V-Sync on for your graphics card and limit FPS to 120 or below. In game, beef up your resolution to whatever your monitor can handle, and turn in game V-Sync off.
From there, you should be all set!
