Chital in grasslands
Took this video in an area of grasslands not far from Kaladhungi in Uttarkhand, India and close to the old Powlagarth road mentioned in Jim Corbetts books.Got the videos by hiding in and close to a small grassy plateau. As happens..... the Chital appeared when I wasnt expecting them - hence the shaky video ! Also it was getting dark. However it shows how these deer react when confronted by unknown danger ( there are both tiger and leopard in this area) with both alarm calla and 'foot stamping'.
