Exporting Selected Features from a Shapefile in ArcMap
The video explains a process for exporting portions of a larger shapefile. In this case, the goal was to take only a portion of the counties in shapefile and create another shapefile altogether that only contains a fraction of the counties. This smaller boundary can then be used for trimming larger statewide datasets or used simply as a representation technique.
