A Royal Affair 2012 (A kongelig Affære)
A Royal Affair is a 2012 historical drama and dramatic love story based on real events in Danish history in the 18th century. It is a beautiful, passionate, thrilling, and romantic story about the love triangle between King Christian VII, his physician Johann Struensee, and the queen of Denmark, Caroline Mathilde.
While traveling through Europe this summer, I was able to watch this movie in a very small but nevertheless crowded movie theater. It has completely blown me away ! For all of you who like Period dramas and are interested in European history, this is a *must must see*. The actors are all superb and the story is just intriguing. Can't wait for the DVD to be released!
