I Made a sugar cane farm in Minecraft it is effortless and it is incredible when you are trading paper for emeralds, HOW IT WORKS:
When the sugarcane grows to the max height (3 Blocks) an observer detects it and send a Redstone signal to the sticky piston Breaking the sugar cane that goes down to a minecart hopper and then goes into a chest where you collect it,
Rate: 64 sugarcane per Minecraft day
