Rainbow Dorset Button Tutorial - How to make the rainbow button & an eyeglass holder brooch with it
Learn how to make my Rainbow Dorset button - this colourful and fun button is much easier than it appears! I'll also show you how to make a Dorset button eyeglass holder brooch. This is a great way to use your decorate handmade buttons - not just of the Dorset type. This little brooch is perfect to keep your reading glasses close without feeling old by wearing them on a glasses chain! :)
This button was designed for day 92 of my One Button a Day 2020 challenge and represents the rainbow pictures put into windows by children here in the UK.
Materials I have used:
A 24mm ring (No 39) and a 19mm ring (No 32)
Perle Cotton No (size) 8 in white
Au ver a Soie Fine D'Aubusson - Fine Pure Wool in rainbow colours (you can use any thin thread or stranded embroidery cotton)
A small piece of felt and a brooch pin
