Tinubu Suspends EFCC Chair, AbdulRasheed Bawa | Gudu Morning Naija Show LIVE (JUN 15)
President Tinubu has imposed an indefinite suspension on AbdulRasheed Bawa, CON, who served as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, due to the need for a thorough investigation into his actions during his tenure. This follows weighty allegations of abuse of office levelled against him.
Mr Bawa has received clear instructions to immediately transfer the responsibilities of his position to the Director of Operations at the Commission. The latter will effectively supervise the activities of the Chairman's Office until the ongoing investigation is concluded.
