The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort, Hawaii, USA
The Westin Hapuna Beach is on the Big Island (Island of Hawai'i) and is rated one of the best beaches on the island due to its calm waters, sunny skies and beachfront snorkeling. The Westin offers two infinity pools; one is a family pool, which is connected to the outdoor bar and there is the adult only pool that offers beautiful views of the ocean. Our room was a "Premier Ocean View King Room," which has a comfortable sitting area on the balcony to see/listen to the ocean waves.
There is a trail called Ala Kahakai National Historic Trail, which connects the Westin to its sister Marriott resort, the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. It is a beautiful walk but be mindful to wear proper closed shoes because it is not a paved track and is about a 30 minute hike.
