Texas Instruments TI-74 Basicalc 8-bit Pocket Computer
A quick look at the Texas Instruments TI-74 Basicalc Pocket Computer from 1985. Includes a benchmark, a look at the chips and a quick tour of it.
These had some market success in Germany for sales reps for insurance companies. Its kinda compareable in size to the Sharp PC-1500 but faster and was at the time cheaper, but definately cost reduced in details. It succeeded the CC40 (Compact Computer 40) but shared the 8-bit MPU architecture.
