The 3D printed John Henry Terminator replicated the crash landing of Chelsea Suhlenberger landing a passenger liner on the Hudson River after both engines lost thrust due to a bird strike.
The experiment does not repeat the exact situation of Chelsea. Sahlenberger flew an Airbus A-320. Terminator flying Boeing 737-800
The video demonstrates the robot's new ability to pilot a Boeing 737-800 in the X-Plane 11 simulator using controls like a human. Tracking the air horizon and the flight situation occurs only with regard to vision and instrument control.
