The Sack of Constantinople | The 4th Crusade
The Fourth Crusade was a crusade called for Jerusalem after the death of Saladin. It is famous for it's incredible derailing leading to the sacking of Constantinople, the center of the Eastern Orthodox Catholic Church. Thousands of civilians were killed and hundreds of thousands of valuables were stolen in one of the most notorious massacres in Christian history.
