Transcript of Video: Hi my name is Elly and I'm here today with Helen Denney-Stone from B Inspired 2. Helen is a Lifestyle Architect and she is the published author of 'How to Create the Lifestyle of your dreams - The Complete Guide to Creating your Lifestyle Vision Board'. During our workshops and while working with our clients we have been asked a lot of similar questions about Vision Boards so Helen is going to answer them here for you today.
This question comes from Roberta, she wondered what the 3 most important things wee when she was creating her vision board.
Well Roberta I think the 3 most important things that would come to mind is One that you are very genuine and honest with your vision board, by this I mean that you know that you are doing this for yourself not for anyone else in the family or friends. It is your vision board and you need to find pictures, symbols and words that really integrate with you, if you feel it is right for you it is right, so be honest with your vision board and really integrating it is one of the most important parts.
I would say the second most important part is Visualisation, you need to not only see the vision board you need to visualise the vision board. So hopefully you will spend a few moments at the beginning of the day at the end of the day when you are having a cup of coffee or taking a shower where you visualise your end result your end goal - you visualise exactly what you want to happen.
And to go along with that I would say where you place your vision board is very important, take it to the office, if it is something you don't want other people to see put it in your wardrobe. So put it where you will see it most, that is one of the most important - so I would put those as some of the most important points.
Fantastic when you are talking about the visualisation side of it do you suggest they actually visualise as if they have already achieved what they are putting on the board or they see themselves getting towards that.
No I think the visualisation should very much be as if they have already achieved their dream. If your dream, for instance is to have a new business and it is up and running - you need to visualise yourself in the clothes you are wearing, what you are doing, what you are saying, what the people around you are doing, what you are hearing, even your smells and tastes and everything you can when you have completed that goal. What is it like when you are living that dream. When you are in that dream because as soon as you start to dream and live that dream and work as if it is already here. It is here it's now it's reality, it soon will be. Great...
