Oleg Vasilievich Verkhodanov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, is a leading researcher at the Special Astrophysical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Nizhny Arkhyz.

This review paper, presented at the 2019 "Autumn Mathematical Readings" conference at the Caucasus Mathematical Center of ASU (Maikop), discusses the modern cosmological model and current challenges in its consistent construction. Methods for determining the Hubble constant and the significance of cosmic microwave background data for its determination are discussed.

Full title of the paper: "Is it possible to reconcile the model of the Universe or inconsistencies in cosmology?"
Plenary paper at the Third International Scientific Conference "Autumn Mathematical Readings in Adygea" (OMCHA-3), Adygea State University, October 16, 2019, Maykop, Republic of Adygea.
