Being Pro Choice is Patriotic
You can be pro-choice whether you’re “pro-abortion” or “anti-abortion”. That’s because being pro-choice is the most American position you can have. It’s the position that, even when other Americans disagree with you, you still recognize their God-given rights to live how they want, without the government forcing them to behave how it sees fit.
The first amendment doesn’t mean we have to agree with everything we all say. The second amendment doesn’t mean we all have to get guns. Similarly, Pro-choice doesn’t mean you can’t want and work to reduce abortions in various ways, like expanding access to adoption, giving more support for families, and expanding access to contraceptives. Pro-choice just means you stand up for every American’s right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, even when their path looks different from yours.
