Audio Restoration
Audio restoration for a documentary.
This was maybe a worst case scenario. Keep in mind there will be always a sacrifice in some sort of way. In this instance the mic picked up more envirement sounds and a whole lot of noise. Therefore the dialogue was hardly hearable.
After analyzing the file we had to do multiple stages of isolation, compression, eq to suppress the noise. Problem then was that the voice became too dull. So we had to turn the brightness up again. But then you automatically dial up a lot of noise again.
Trough some clever tricks we came to a nice compromise and the footage was saved.
