The headless body of 44-year-old German woman Silke Sauer was found in an abandoned CNR Scandicci building near Florence. The head was never found. Nearby was a bloody machete and the suspect's pit bull, which had kept people from approaching the body for an hour.
A 29-year-old Moroccan, homeless and illegal, was arrested. They knew each other.
