What do you do when your learners want to talk about a topic you hadn't planned for? How can you create a speaking activity on the spot?
In this workshop, Dylan discusses how to identify simple but effective speaking opportunities for every situation. You'll learn how to exploit those 'Dogme moments' and create authentic and engaging speaking tasks out of what emerges in the classroom. You'll learn why you don't have to reinvent the wheel and acquire some easy strategies for recycling and reusing tasks.

About Dylan Gates:
The Speaker: Dylan has been in the ELT sector for nearly 25 years. He has worked in Ecuador, the UK, and Spain, where he now lives, and has had a variety of roles, including being a Director of Studies, an examiner, an EAP tutor at universities, a business English coach, and a Course Director of a Cert TESOL training program. Along the way, he found the time to do a DELTA and get an MA in TESOL and ELT.
He now works on a freelance basis, doing a bit of everything from business English coaching to teacher training, materials design, and course creation.
