In this video I create a custom forum section in WordPress without any plugins. I searched anywhere and could not find any useful source to create a custom forum in WordPress without any plugins. So that I created my own solution for that. It may need a lot more than I have done and the UI can be improved a lot but for now it can do the job and you can extend it to your needs.
